ABSTRACT - In this paper, a comparative analysis of major tourist destinations in the Danube and Thrace regions has been developed through a quantitative regional competitiveness index. Development is a scientific study and analysis of empirical data to achieve the goal of the article - to determine which region and destination is more competitive. On the basis of the analysis, the relevant conclusions and recommendations were made as well as the competitiveness of the defined destinations in the regions.
