ABSTRACT - This article discusses the emergence and development of fantastic painting and the influence of surrealism on the design of fashion illustration at the beginning of the twentieth century. The different trends in fine arts and their projection on the design of fashion drawing at the beginning of the twentieth century are analyzed. A variety of examples of well-known authors in the women's periodic press have been commented on.
