INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND ITS PROTECTION IN THE CONTEXT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OPEN INNOVATIONS IN BULGARIA

ABSTRACT - The Open Innovation Paradigm is seen as a modern way to jointly implement innovation from different types, sizes, and spatial organizations. The preservation of the interests of each party requires adherence to certain rules when applying novelties in their practice. Since the creativity of people is at the core of innovation, the possibilities for regulating the protection of intellectual property are of particular importance. The existence of an appropriate legal framework is a prerequisite for increasing the interest in this activity. The patenting of inventions, designs, brands, etc. allows for increased benefits for their creators and society as a whole. The World Intellectual Property Organization, which maintains an International Register of Received Security Documents, is also established in this respect. The European Patent Office and the relevant national patent offices monitor the compliance of registered applications with the specific conditions - basic and additional.
