ABSTRACT - This article examines the origins and development of Orphism in the early twentieth century and its impact on women's fashion design. Examples of paintings used as inspiration for various designers in creating their fashion collections are considered. An attempt has been made to analyze the work of some popular authors in the projection of contemporary fashion design.
