ASSESSMENT OF BULGARIA AS A DESTINATION IN THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERNATIONAL TOURIST MARKET
ABSTRACT - The present research paper offers an assessment of Bulgaria as a tourist destination in comparison with the international tourist market and Europe. This assessment is based on official statistical data analysis, mainly for 2017, concerning economic impacts and the number of international tourist arrivals/departures, market shares of leading generating and receiving markets. Some suggestions are formulated for Bulgaria’s better positioning on the international tourist market.
