ABSTRACT - The object of the present article are the technologies for 3D visualization, e-learning approaches and e-learning methods in stereometry. The article discusses the virtual environments, which are immersive and non-immersive. The use of 3D technology in education is tracked down and the advantage of 3D learning over traditional teaching methods is highlighted. The aim of the study is to select the most appropriate approach for student’s virtual and augmented reality stereometry training. On the basis of this study, conclusions have been drawn about the building up of a concept for the development of an application for virtual and augmented reality stereometry training. With the stereoscopic training system, the stereometric objects are presented in a more effective and qualitative way, as the idea of the authors is to teach the 3D material by means of synergistic learning approach as well.
