ABSTRACT - The dental profession has as its main purpose the provision of safe help, aimed at minimizing risks and establishing an open culture, related to patient safety. Different strategies such as identification of patient safety threats have been developed for this purpose through a report of incidents, indentification of best practice, communication and education. The most common errors associated with pain management, medication errors, misguided documentation, absence of informed consent, non - compliance with medical standards and rules for good medical practice. The question of dental practice errors is particularly relevant these days. His discussion will lead to more clarity and correct understanding of the problem by the dental profession.
